DeepTech investing is about being present at the beginning of something genuinely new. The founders I am most drawn to are those building at the frontier - iterating on disruptive technologies, often in spaces where the market itself has not yet taken shape. There is a particular kind of courage required to work at that level of uncertainty, and a particular kind of rigour needed to navigate it. My role is to understand both - to be a thought partner who can help founders think through what they are building, without losing sight of the commercial reality they will eventually need to meet.
Before joining Kalaari, I spent nearly five years in investment banking at JP Morgan, where I built a strong foundation in financial analysis and transaction execution. That experience gave me a structured way of thinking about value creation and risk - tools that translate well into evaluating early-stage companies, even when the numbers are nascent. I also spent time at ZS Associates prior to that. The move into venture felt like a natural evolution: a chance to get closer to the actual building, not just the financing of it.
What excites me about early-stage DeepTech is the opportunity to partner with founders at the very start - when the technology is still being shaped and the product vision is still evolving. Being part of that process, from the earliest iterations, is what makes this work feel meaningful and non-replicable.
