Finance in a venture firm is not just accounting, it is the architecture of trust. Every LP report, every portfolio review, every fund compliance decision either builds or erodes confidence in the institution. Quality financial reporting helps LPs make better decisions, helps founders understand their own trajectory, and helps the firm operate with the kind of integrity that compounds over time.
I am a Chartered Accountant by training, and my time in M&A at Deloitte gave me a foundational ability to look at businesses from the inside out, understanding not just the numbers, but the operational and strategic realities they reflect. I credit my alternative schooling with teaching me to think differently about problem-solving: to question assumptions, consider context, and resist the pull of formulaic answers. At Kalaari, I lead finance operations spanning fund accounting, reporting, compliance, treasury management, and LP and stakeholder reporting. I also support capital raising, LP relations, and fund performance reviews, and work closely with investee companies on their finance matters.
Outside of work, I stay active through deep sea diving, trekking, football, cricket, and table tennis. I represented my school/ college in the latter three. I also sing light music and am drawn to both classical and modern musical traditions. I have travelled extensively across India and visited over 20 countries, which has given me an appreciation for the diversity of how institutions and economies work across contexts.
