Why we invested in Resolve360

Pain is the most common chronic condition in India. One in five Indians, roughly 270 million people, live with it. Around 80 million of them are in tier-1 cities alone. Most have carried it for years. The average sufferer lives with musculo-skeletal pain for close to seven years before it is resolved, if it is resolved at all.

The system was never built to treat this. India has 0.6 physiotherapists for every 10,000 people, against a WHO guideline of 1.0. That is a 40% shortfall, and it is worse outside the metros. Surgery is expensive and often avoidable, and more than 80% of patients want to avoid it. What they are left with is a fragmented set of options: a clinic visit that gives temporary relief, a prescription, or nothing at all.

Meanwhile, demand is moving online. Searches for physiotherapists and pain doctors have grown four times over the last five years. UPI and smartphones have taken the friction out of finding and paying for care. An ageing population and a rise in lifestyle diseases adds to the load every year.
‍

A market ready to shift

India spends about $17 billion a year on rehabilitation. Physiotherapy is roughly $1 billion of that, and most of it still happens in clinics.

This is the gap Resolve360 is going after.
‍

The problem with how pain is treated today

Most physiotherapy treats symptoms, not causes. A patient gets a few sessions, feels better for a while, and the pain comes back. There is no plan for what happens after the clinic visit, and no clear view of whether the patient is actually recovering.

Access is the second problem. There are too few physiotherapists, and the best ones sit in a handful of cities. A patient in a smaller town, or one who travels, has no continuity of care.

The tools are the third problem. Most digital physiotherapy today is stitched together from Zoom, WhatsApp, and a spreadsheet. There is no single place where assessment, treatment, scheduling, records, and follow-up live together.
‍

WhatResolve360 does

Resolve360 is a digital-first physiotherapyplatform built around outcomes, not sessions.

Every patient starts with a root-cause assessmentand gets a plan tailored to their exact condition, delivered over liveone-on-one sessions with a qualified physiotherapist. The aim is lastingrecovery rather than temporary relief.

Because it is virtual-first, Resolve360 reachespatients across India and abroad, at roughly half the cost of conventionalclinic-based therapy. It runs on its own app, with video, scheduling, electronic medical records, progress tracking, and reminders in one place.
‍

Early traction

Resolve360 has been building this for six years. In that period, it has treated 600+ patients, and 96% have come back for more care.
‍

Built by clinicians

Resolve360 is led by people who have lived thisproblem from the clinical side.

Dr. Apoorva Shrivastava, Founder and CEO, is a clinical rehabilitation leader with over 12 years in neuro-physiotherapy and a Master's in Advancing Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University. She previously ran national-scale clinical training programs at Medwell Ventures, part of the Mahindra group. At Resolve360 she owns clinical strategy and thecare model, and patients consistently mention her.

Shivam Gupta, Co-founder and CTO, brings the product and operating side. He has spent over a decade across product, sales, operations, and go-to-market, including time as a chief product officer building health and wellness platforms. At Resolve360, he drives product, technology, and GTM.

Their clarity on what they were building stood outfrom our first conversation.

Looking ahead

Resolve360 brings strong clinical depth and thetrust of its patients. With this round, the team will strengthen product andtechnology, grow its therapist network, and invest in brand. We will workclosely with them on go-to-market, product, and scaling.

At Kalaari, we back founders who know their problemdeeply, and Dr. Apoorva and Shivam clearly do. We are glad to partner withResolve360 as they build their digital physiotherapy platform and help morepeople find lasting relief from pain.

Dr. Apoorva Shrivastava, Founder and CEO ofResolve360, says: "We started Resolve360 because most physiotherapy treatsthe symptom and not the cause. Kalaari understood that early. They engaged withour clinical approach and our patient outcomes first, which is exactly what wewere looking for in a partner as we grow."

Harshit Kumar, AVP at Kalaari Capital, says: "Chronic pain is one of India's largest and most under-served health problems. Dr. Apoorva and Shivam have built a clinically grounded, outcome-led model that their patients clearly value. As care moves online, we think Resolve360 is well-placed to build a leading digital physiotherapy business in India, and we are glad to be backing them early."
