Vikash is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of progressive work experience with leading MNCs like KPMG, PepsiCo, and scaled startups like Redbus and Via.com. Prior to joining Kalaari, he was the CFO of Redbus, one of the most successful e-commerce companies in the Indian startup ecosystem.
Vikash currently manages the controllership for all Kalaari Funds and oversees all LP reportings and compliances. Alongside this, he works closely with multiple Kalaari portfolio companies in helping them set up financial processes and systems besides assisting them in implementing best financial practices to manage treasury and working capital. Vikash has an extensive network amongst bankers, accountants, insurers and other Venture Capital funds and routinely assists portfolio CFO’s with any finance related queries.
He joined Redbus, immediately after its acquisition by Naspers. During his stint at Redbus, the company grew 4X and expanded to South East Asia. At the CFO of Redbus, he stabilized a sub-scale finance function and drove business efficiencies by strongly focusing on chasing correct business matrices. He also closely worked with the international business expansion team to set up operations in new geographies.
Previously, he was an engagement manager at KPMG where he led complex financial reporting engagements for global MNCs and large Indian Corporates.
I learn from colleagues who bring rich and diverse experience. And of course, the fact that everyone at Kalaari works towards the common goal of adding tangible value to the Indian early stage ecosystem.
