Pooja is a seasoned HR leader with 18 years in the profession. In the course of her career, she has played diverse roles across different geographies, sectors, and organizations, driving the HR charter at scale in large multinational environments as well as hyper-growth start-­ups.

Pooja started her career with SAP, a global leader in enterprise software where she played global roles in HR Design and Delivery for SAP’s Product Organization.

In 2010 she joined Myntra, an early investee of Kalaari, and was a part of Myntra’s leadership team, heading HR, through the journey that saw the company grow from scratch to be the leading online fashion retailer in the country. During this period, Myntra’s employee base grew to be 8K+ employees across diverse verticals like Technology, Merchandising, Design, Sourcing, and Operations. Pooja helped the company build a strong leadership team, create a distinctive culture and scale its people practices effectively, moving on a year after Myntra got successfully acquired by Flipkart.

Having seen first-hand what it takes to help a young company scale and succeed, Pooja brings experience and credibility as an advisor to Kalaari’s Portfolio on their talent and organizational challenges. She enjoys the breadth and complexity of Kalaari’s portfolio and serves as a thought partner to its Founders on best practice for building enduring companies.

She has also helped streamline Kalaari’s internal HR processes and talent management initiatives, led its talent outreach and helped drive the Kstart Fellowship.

Pooja holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
