What makes the job exciting
I like the excitement of being around great ideas. Speaking to entrepreneurs and listening to their stories, that’s the best part of the day for me. I prefer to hear from the entrepreneur the exact customer pain point they are trying to address instead of looking at a neat PowerPoint deck.
Thoughts on startup success
Have a business idea that caters to a large market. It should be able to scale really fast. Think 10x, 20x, 100x growth factors. All the members of the founding team need to be equally passionate about the business. They should be able to complement each other’s skills, work well together and be able to hire the right people.
Views on entrepreneurship
Market research does not mean a few hours of Googling. Go out and speak to your customers and suppliers. Use your competitor’s service, be an annoying customer yourself and think if you really want/need your service/product.
Starting a company is not a 100m dash, it’s a marathon. See if you are ready to go the distance.
What I like about Kalaari
The fact that individuality is respected and opinions are welcome, irrespective of the job title — that’s what I like most about working at Kalaari.
